In a new message from Al-Qaida #2 Ayman al-Zawahri he called Barack Obama and secretaries of state Colin Powell and Condoleezza Rice “house negroes”. Also saying they are not honorable black Americans like Malcom X. It’s a good insight into how they view Barack Obama and this upcoming administration. Could it be they will hate this administration more than they did the Bush Administration ? I know it’s crazy but these guys aren’t exactly known for their reasoning. I am also curious if the Obama administration will continue to use Al-Qaida as the boogieman like the Bush administration has. Or if they will actually treat them as the threat that they are and hunt down the leaders and break that terrorist organization once and for all.

Very good article over at Reason by Radley Balko. Asking if Barack man enough to put forth the true change that has been promised? It’s a right that many Presidents have hidden behind and I think it’s time for it to go. The time for the government to be held accountable is upon us. The job of the President of the United States of America is wildly considered the most important job in the world. Shouldn’t it also be the most honest and transparent? It would help prove that Barack Obama really wants change and isn’t full of shit.

I know we are in dire times but I also hope this isn’t a sign of things to come. It’s never a good sign when a president uses executive orders to avoid congress. I hope that Barack is very careful with his use of these powers over his term. I am understanding of the need to get things moving. I don’t fault him for it at all. But at the same time I think it’s something that we all have to keep an eye on.

Barack Obama apologizes to Nancy Reagan for making a joke a her expense (HERE) . All seems to be well now that he’s past his first gaffe as potus-elect. Glad to see he was able to apologize and I hope there are not to many more careless remarks. I would love to see Barack reach his full potential but he’s not going to if he behaves like this.

At todays press conference Barack Obama called on the following journalsts. Nedra Pickler (AP), Lee Cowan (NBC), Jake Tapper (ABC), Chip Reid (CBS), Karen Bohan (Reuters), John McCormick (Chicago Tribune), Lynn Sweet (Chicago Sun-Times), Candy Crowley (CNN), Jeff Zeleny (New York Times).
It was a short presser but could this be a sign of things to come? Is this the change that we’ve all been waiting for? Is Barack punishing Fox News for it’s years of Republican bias? I report you decide. Makes you wonder after he threw the republican reporters off his plane a week ago. Is it going to be Baracks way or no way?

In his first press conference Barack Obama insulted one of the most revered icons of the Republicans Nancy Reagan. He made a remark about talking to only the living presidents and not doing the seance thing like Nancy Reagan. Not a huge deal and it was meant as a joke but not a very good start to the new regime.

Yesterday Barack Obama was congratulated on his victory by nine presidents and prime ministers. According to an Obama aide the calls were from Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd, Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper, French President Nicolas Sarkozy, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, Japanese Prime Minister Taro Aso, Mexican President Felipe Calderon, South Korean President Lee Myung-bak and British Prime Minister Gordon Brown. After the world tension we have had over the last 6 years thanks to President Bush, This is very refreshing. Heck Barack even got a congratulations from Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. The first such gesture like that since 1979. It could mean nothing but maybe just maybe it’s a step towards peaceful times between the two countries.

According to ABC News Rahm Emanuel was asked to be White House Chief of Staff this morning by Barack Obama. It’s been rumored he would be asked for awhile but it’s interesting that it was done so fast.

Tonight we have seen History made. Barack Obama has become 44th president elect. He’s the first Biracial president and it’s a good feeling to see this country finally look past race. Of course there were many people that voted based on race but the right man one the race. There was not the widespread bullshit from the last few elections. I’m very happy about that and hope that this country can be turned around.
It’s not an enviable position to be in but with the house and Senate on his side in the majority things could be turned around faster. I’m still not sure about some of Baracks policies but it’s going to be an interesting time and i’ll be here to report my opinion on the issues as they come up.
Now it’s time for the wounds of this election to start to heal. We are Democrats, Republicans, Independents, and all sort of various parties. But we are above all Americans and it’s time to unite and get this country back to the level we should be at. Does this mean that I will be a yes man for this upcoming administration? Of course not. I love this country and if there are things this administration does wrong i’ll let my voice be heard. Lets keep an open mind and see where this takes us.

Gotta love Florida. Last night somebody went to city hall in Orlando and spray painted dozens of city vehicles. They all had Anti-Obama smears on them. The weird part is that weird business cards were left at the scene. I wonder if this is just the start of incidents like this as I believe this might turn into one of the dirtiest campaigns in history on both sides. (Story Here) Picture ot the card left by the vandals after the jump.

Since it’s Sunday and sort of a slow news day. I thought I would take the opportunity to touch on the subject of Rev. Hagee and Rev. Wright and their effect on the general election. Rev. Wright has gotten a lot more coverage as Barack Obamas family pastor for 20 years. So lets touch on John McCains pastor John Hagee first. Rev. Hagee is under fire for some comments such as… (more…)

Yesterday on the fox business channel. Barack Obama had an interview and the reporter decided to play the word association game with him. It’s an interesting clip and I like it because it’s a little more candid and you can see how a candidate really is in conversation. Of course he’s still guarded because he is on television. But It’s fun and hope you like it.

First we had the story of the two Muslim women not being allowed on stage with Barack because they were wearing traditional Muslim scarfs (Story Here) Seems that was cleared up after Rep. Keith Ellison D-Minn. brought it up to Barack during a session of the congressional black congress meeting(Story Here) . That was a heated confrontation from what was reported in the story. Wonder if that’s the reason for this latest snub.
